EN – Hello pearls,
as you may know, a few months ago I had the honour to be contacted by Greek Jeweler Giousouri, asking if I would be interested in incorporating their fine creations into my every day outfits. Ever since I have received every month a pink gift box, hiding the most beautiful sparkles in a cloud of white tulle.
Giousouri Jewellery, renowned workshop in the heart of Thessaloniki, was named after one of the oldest known organisms at sea, a precious black coral, believed to bring good luck and used in fine jewelry making. The combination of traditional know-how, passed down from generation to generation, with innovative ideas on design gives birth to one-of-a-kind jewels, hand-crafted from silver, gold, precious and semi-precious stones. After graduating in Jewellery Design at “Mokume” School of Jewellery and having practiced for years side by side with his father, Nikolas Sidiropoulos took over his family business, injecting it with his creativity and passion. In spite of my best efforts to share his work with an international audience, don’t expect him to be “social” on the web : Nikolas is not a digital pr, he is an artist.

IT – Buongiorno perle,
come sapete, qualche mese fa ho avuto l’onore di essere contattata dal gioielliere Greco Giousouri, per verificare il mio interesse ad includere le sue squisite creazioni nei miei outfit. Da allora, ogni mese ho ricevuto una graziosa confezione regalo rosa, contenente raffinati gioielli avvolti in una nuvola di tulle bianco.
La Gioielleria Giousouri, rinomato laboratorio orafo nel cuore di Salonicco, prende il nome da uno dei più antichi organismi marini, un prezioso corallo nero tradizionalmente usato come porta fortuna e impiegato in alta oreficeria. L’incontro tra l’esperienza nella lavorazione dei metalli, tramandata di generazione in generazione, e idee innovative nel campo del design danno vita a pezzi unici, lavorati a mano da materie prime quali argento, oro, pietre preziose e semi-preziose. Dopo la laurea in Jewellery Design conseguita all’Accademia di Oreficeria “Mokume” e anni di pratica accanto al padre, Nikolas Sidiropoulos ha preso in gestione l’attività di famiglia, arricchendola della propria creatività e passione.
Nonostante mi sia data da fare per condividere il lavoro di Nikolas con un’audience internazionale, non aspettatevi di trovarlo sui social networks: lui non è un digital pr, è un artista.
