Breathe it through

Breathe it through

As another weekend is coming up, I find myself still blessed by the benefic effects of the last one.
I haven’t even got round to writing on my blog, as I’ve been floating through everyday life wrapped in a bubble of self-indulgence.
I haven’t even been shocked by the amazingly loud tantrums my little girl has been throwing all week long.
If you are wondering what magic I’m under, have a look at the picture posted.
That rough and essential old house in the mountain is the scenario of an 8 hours’ yoga lesson I took last Sunday.
After practicing yoga once a week for two years, I wanted to try this experience and I am enthusiastic about it.
We were some twenty students and two teachers, and the message of the day was: “breathe it through”. If you are afraid, sad, anxious about something, don’t bury your emotions deep down where they’re gonna hurt most. Live them, breathe them through. If you are having a stressful day, breathe it through.
This might sound some kind of commonplace advice, but you won’t find out how healing it can be as long as you don’t commit to it.
Be aware of your emotions, and breathe them through.

8 hours! What dedication and a great message to get through. Keep breathing. I will remember that at work this week!
