Hello my colourful petals,
today I’d love to talk about Carnival, or Mardi Gras or Shrove Tuesday, you name it!
While the consumption of rich foods and drinks before the Lenten period in Christian calendar is thought to be the origin of this popular festival, some Carnival customs may date back to the pre-Christian Bacchanalia, celebration of the pagan god Bacchus (or Dyonisus).
Carnival is synonym of transgression, overturning social conventions, possibly wearing a mask to hide one’s identity and be granted the highest freedom of expression regardless of other people’s opinion.
Let’s get inspired by this festive mood and unleash and have fun, like kids who know no shame and no etiquette!
The Carnival of Venice conjures up decadent images of masquerade balls and opulent costumes.

Wonderful!! I'd love to get all dressed in costumes and enjoy the celebrations!! Would be amazing. Thank you for your comment doll, I appreciate it & I agree. As women, we are always told to do this or that and nothing is ever good enough. Which is why I wanted to highlight great women. And it won't just be famous ones as well. I think society still isn't giving women equal rights
