Hello dolls,
today I will indulge in my dream of becoming a personal stylist, which virtually came true when Kendra Thornton, travel expert featured in American tv shows like Tyra Banks and Nate Berkus, challenged me to style her looks for a weekend in Orlando.
Here are her requirements, which I’m publishing upon her explicit consense:
“Best Fashion Forward
I love planning family vacations! There’s nothing like planning a trip to give me a good excuse to shop for new fashion. This year, I’ll be heading to Orlando to spend a few weeks with my family. At age 40, I’m getting to the point where I risk embarrassing my kids when I pick my own fashions. For that reason, I’m turning to you for advice. During our stay, my family and I plan to enjoy an evening in Downtown Disney. As the cameras will be snapping to capture memories of our time together, I want to make sure I look my best. Help me come up with a great outfit for this evening! Here’s some information about the restaurant where we’ll be eating:
The Rainforest Café
I’ve always been intrigued by the rainforest, but a trip to the Amazon with three youngsters isn’t going to happen. Fortunately, there is The Rainforest Café in Downtown Disney. Here, guests eat in the midst of a simulated rainforest, complete with rain and thunderstorms. Big, beautiful butterflies adorn the trees and vines of this enchanted place. Elephants, monkeys and other animated animal figures are scattered throughout the dining area. Both kids and adults will enjoy selections from the menu of all-American favorites. For dessert, I’m looking forward to the Sparkling Volcano. When the wait staff brings this mountain-shaped lava cake to our table, it will be erupting with a lit sparkler at its peak.
Orlando Style
Every city I’ve visited has its own style. Orlando, a city known around the world for its tourism industry, it features a laidback feel. It seems as though everything you see here says “vacation.” Whether I’m enjoying a round of minigolf with the kids, wandering beautiful parks, having fun at one of the local amusement parks or sipping wine with my husband on an evening out alone, I know I’ll have more fun when I look my best. I can’t wait to see the fashions you suggest for my family night at Downtown Disney. I’m sure you’ll help me turn heads as well as keep me from embarrassing my kids with a dowdy appearance in photos.”

Sight-seeing on Sunday: why can’t a sensible tourist’s outfit be drop-dead cute as well? A floral print (#trendalert) top will give some perk to khaki shorts and flat sandals. While casual fedora and shades protect Kendra’s beautiful face, sunscreen is still mandatory, and a bottle of thermal water is essential to soothe and hydrate skin at high temperatures. I couldn’t but include a bikini for a trip in Florida!
