Dear friends,
the blogosphere is a Neverland filled with sparkling goodies, heart-shaped gadgets, inviting pictures, smiling faces, kind compliments, lovely words, scented gifts.
We get to select things we like, share them with our virtual buddies, while without hesitation we throw the spam in the disposable.
We cut and paste, pin the pretty bits we find, embed and tweet and hype and like just what feels OK.
On happier days, we show our enthusiasm in well displayed posts and smart comments; when we are feeling blue, fed up with the contingencies of everyday life, we lift our spirits by seeking refuge in this marshmallow world.
Too bad we don’t LIVE in Neverland.
Dressing up my little girl with an angel costume for her first “Christmas show” at kindergarten, I feel heartbroken and shattered and don’t know how 20 angels’ parents are ever going to cope with the most unfair tragedy, made the more unacceptable as inflicted by human hands.
The following button will be featured permanently on La vie en rose, and I humbly invite you to grab it and “spoil” your pink zones by displaying it as a sign of awareness of what goes on “outside”, today and every day: too painful to talk about, too raw and real to exist in Neverland, still there nevertheless.
(I’m not able to create blog buttons, so I downloaded it from thecutestblogontheblock.com)
Thank you. With love.
Coco

Coco, I feel the very same. My heart is broken for those families and couldn't help but have eyes filled with tears several times yesterday at the mere thought. All that we can do is pray for them … your post said it all so well.

~S

This is a great idea!! I think the world needs more love and understanding…not guns. My heart is saddened by those poor children lost. They said one of the guys suffered from mental health issues…that saddens me to..why he wasn't helped before it all happened. All prayers and love to them. xx

It really is incomprehensible and such a horrendous thing to happen to any parent… This is a lovely and very thoughtful post, thanks xo
That situation was SO SAD! My heart totally sank when I heard about it. They've been showing the funerals all week. It makes me ill to know someone took their lives within a matter of minutes. So many changes need to be done.
http://www.averysweetblog.com/
