Hello my shining stars,
how was your day? In spite of the **beep-beep-beep* weather and of my milky complexion, I’ve definitely kissed my cold-season wardrobe goodbye and started to play summer. Okay, I admit that a cozy cardi and a trench prevent me from catching bronchitis, but this is my optimistic outfit under the multi-layering 🙂
I’m wearing a pale yellow balloon dress and a linen scarf, stocked up a couple of years ago during a shopping haul at Amy Gee. My beloved suede wedges from Coral Blue have walked considerable distances, but I think they still look pretty great. The cameo brooch holds a profound sentimental value, having been in my family for at least three generations.
I thought it would be nice to add a snapshot of the products I’ve been using over the past weeks and add a few comments about some of them. Maybelline’s BB cream has become a staple in my beauty routine: I first purchased it out of curiosity when BB creams came into fashion, but I’ve come to love it. Given that I have very sensitive skin, prone to redness and breakouts, I was very positively surprised by this product, which I use as moisturiser, light-coverage makeup base and sun screen. On the other hand, the water-proof eyeliner from Makeup Forever is in my opinion totally overrated: costing well over 20 Euros (I don’t remember exactly) it creates a sort of film that admittedly doesn’t smudge, but peels off in small pieces. You can see the broken line in the picture. Clinique mascara is kind to the eyes and wondrously thickening, but it’s very dense, so you’d better not be in a hurry when you apply it or you will get actual black fans instead of eyelashes. Clinique foundation looks good when freshly applied and my skin breaths through it, but it doesn’t provide a long lasting coverage. In conclusion, I’m still looking for my IT foundation, eye-liner and mascara.
