Good morning sunbeams,
whether you are on the beach or relaxing at home, lay back on your chaise longue and get ready for being tempted by these fab beauty treats. I got them in my Glossybox-es over the past few months. I’ve been subscribed for over one year now, and I must say that the Glossy team are now familiar with my preferences, so that out of five products in the box, at least three end up becoming a staple in my beauty routine. lol I’m going to need a bigger makeup bag!
1 NAILS INC – BROOK STREET (4.00 € / 10ml) I love this pink fluo nail varnish. It makes me feel on holiday every time I look at my hands (and feet). It needs a brilliant top coat to give it full shine. No chip whatsoever after two days. Almost a miracle. The product is excellent, I’d like to try another shade.
2 MODEL CO – CHEEK + LIP TINT ROSY RED (24.00 € / 10ml) I decided to include it in my faves list, though I have a hate/love relationship with this product. It has an excellent pigmentation, so much that, after applying it on your cheekbones tapping delicately (but quickly because it dries in a matter of milliseconds) with your fingertips, no matter what you won’t manage to wash it off the involved fingers. It’s like it’s made with freshly squeezed cherry juice. Nonetheless, I love the rosy cheek it gives you, like you are blushing in a flirtatious way. You may apply it on your lips too, but beware to mix it with a lip gloss or balm, or you’ll look like a vampire. I told you I have a hate/love relationship with this cutie!
3 FIGS & ROUGE – PEPPERMINT AND TEA-TREE BALM (4.15 € / 8 ml) A 100% organic balm, it’s packed with essential oils and it makes wonders on dry lips or any small scratchy area. I use it on my cuticles too. A small quantity will go a long way, so the price is more than reasonable for such an excellent product. It belongs to a range of petroleum free lip balms, all coming in a vintage metallic case. I’m eager to try the Coco Vanilla fragrance!
4 CLEARASIL – ACNE + MARKS WASH AND MASK (6.50 € / 150 ml) When I found it it the box my first thought was: what am I, a teenager? It must have been a mix-up. Well, it wasn’t, I used it to the last drop and earnestly recommend it if you have sensitive skin, prone to breakouts. It visibly improves the texture of your skin, cleans thoroughly without drying, and provides a soothing effect while actually treating acne and preventing any further breakout. Fabulous!
5 SHODEEA – ANTI AGE PEARL EX010 (3.00 € / 0.3 ml) It costs like gold because it IS precious. If you apply this tiny bit of oil on your bare face, after a couple of minutes of gentle massage your skin will feel soft, not a tiny bit greasy, and rejuvenated. If you think you can stand its smell of dubious origin – I would describe it as musty and primordial – it’s definitely worth a try. Puzzling!
6 THE BODY SHOP – MORINGA BODY BUTTER (15.00 € / 200 ml) Given my addition to body butters, I can state this is good. It has a pleasant frangrance (not moringa though, in case Kimmy you are thinking of stocking up on this), but what I appreciate is that it really nourishes the skin, without leaving it greasy like most body butters. I think it’s a little bit pricey though, because a full size will last ten days if you apply it after showering every day 🙂 I’ll keep an eye on sales or ebay for it!
