The best foundations for oily skin – Make-up tips

Finding a long-lasting foundation for oily skin can be tricky. In fact, lightweight formulas are likely to slide away in the long run. On the other hand, high coverage products might turn your face into a greasy mess. Not to mention that many women with oily skin need to camouflage blemishes and imperfections. Therefore they require a oil-free, non-comedogenic formula.

Best foundations for oily skin

Well, I interviewed for Glamour Italia famous make-up artist Andrea Ubbiali. And he explained that the best formula to create a perfect make-up base on oily skin is compact powder foundation. Up to now only long-lasting liquid formulas could ensure a suitable coverage to camouflage blemishes and dark spots. But innovative compact powders are able to guarantee the same result without becoming shiny during the day. So let’s go together through a list of the best foundations for oily skin.

The new Dermablend Covermatte by Vichy provides a long-lasting even coverage. Its innovative formula contains perlite, with a high absorbent capacity, and salicylic acid to heal imperfections and blemishes. Clarins Pore Perfecting Matifying Foundation has a lightweight formula with red clay to absorb sebum and prevent blemishes.

Clinique Superbalanced Silk Makeup SPF 15 is oil-free and offers a natural matte finish. Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil-Free Makeup heals acne with salicylic acid. Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate has a matte finish and a long-lasting formula.

Pro-tip 1: after applying a compact powder foundation for oily skin, spray your face with thermal water, to avoid a cakey effect.

Pro-tip 2: oily skin needs hydration as much as dry skin. Choose a light and non-greasy lotion but don’t ever skip this important step!

Oo this product sounds great! I personally aren’t a fan of compact foundation as I hate using the puff, I always find that loose powder with a beauty blender does wonders on my T zone. But of course like you suggest, get a moisturiser that suits your skin type! Keep it light, and packed with hydration x
