A chic NYE outfit to wear at a party. The second most dreaded question these days – with the first being “Where are you celebrating New Year’s Eve?”, is “What am I going to wear on NYE?”. Well I won’t be of any help as far as the first question is concerned. But I’m here to solve the “What to wear” dilemma.
So I created two outfits, the first up right now and the second one coming up in a couple of days. The idea is to address girls and women of any age who are going to attend a party. Because you may as well be celebrating New Year’s Eve in a chalet or at home with family and friends, or cuddled up in your pyjamas, which is totally fine if you ask me.
Back to what to wear at a party, let’s start with a chic NYE outfit idea. If you are not attending a particularly fancy party, the dress code you should stick to is understated elegance with a touch of sparkle.
A little black dress embellished with glitter and shiny bijoux will do the trick. Depending on the location and on your age, the length of the dress and the height of the heels may vary!
Your goal is to look hot but classy. So don’t overdo it with sparkles and bare flesh. You can play with your make-up to create a dramatic look. Check out this post I wrote for Glamour Italia, or this one.
The chic NYE outfit I’m wearing today is for a dinner party with friends. I went for a midi dress with top in silver lurex and bottom in pleated chiffon. I added some sparkles and a jewel purse. And rocked lace-up kitten heels for a classy touch. I hope you enjoyed my styling tips and look forward to hearing your thoughts!
