For the record, there is a fourth line, named “Rando”, featuring trekking-inspired boots for the urban lady, but I didn’t take pictures because I didn’t particularly like them. Personal blog, personal taste 🙂
you might already be familiar with my unconditional love for Italian shoe designer Ballin.
If I loved Ballin’s SS2014, I’m head over heels for Fall 2014 collection, where cutting-edge materials and details complement the brand’s trademark elegance.
I had the honour to shake hands with Mr. Roberto Ballin, who I shamelessly interrupted while he was instructing his team to produce a certain model boot in many more colours. He was very nice and down-to-earth and showed me around his appalling creations.
“Eva”, the key line in the collection, evokes the ancestral origins of seduction and features 10 cm triangular stilettos embellished by ton-sur-ton fur pompoms, court shoes and ankle boots in black and burgundy suede.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE “EVA” LINE
A rock-and-roll soul mixed with a strictly all-black look defines the “Piercing” line, inspired by the gleaming metal decorations chosen to replace the classic studs. Pointed high ankle boots and court shoes with extra-wide straps around the ankles are found alongside stunning fetish-look thigh-high boots, featuring ultra-soft black leather expertly decorated with silver-finish piercings. Must-have models include biker boots with piercings on the instep and square-toed shoe-boots with a sensual side opening: matching gloves and clutch bags complete the line.
The “Chelsea” line is an all-round exploration of men’s style with a distinctly feminine twist. Ballin’s Chelsea boot is designed in different heights and with wide heels and well-defined profiles, keeping its distinctive stretch side panel contrasting with leather, suede or astrakhan.
Come on and have your say butterflies!!
Tons of love
