Ciao amiche, oggi in Italia è la festa del papá. Raramente ho parlato della mia vita personale su questo fashion blog, ma oggi è diverso. Ne sento il bisogno. Perchè questa festa del papá le mie amiche Ale, Ele (Guapy) ed Elle non la possono festeggiare, avendo perso il papà da pochi giorni. Un abbraccio grande grande a loro.
Mentre in Italia abbondano dichiarazioni mediatiche di non amore, io approfitto della festa del papà per ringraziare il mio papà, che mi ha scarrozzato agli eventi riportandomi a casa in tempo per mettere a nanna la mia principessa. Lui, che non sapeva cosa fosse un fashion blog e pensava che Dolce&Gabbana fosse una marca di banane – mi ha sempre incoraggiato a coltivare la mia passione per la moda. E ha scortato la sua bambina nello studio del grande fotografo Filippo Mutani, perché “non si sa mai”.
Buona festa del papà a lui, che ha fatto da papà e da mamma a noi tre sorelle, dimostrando che sono tanto amore, tanta comprensione e tanta fiducia a rendere genitori, siano essi due papà, due mamme, un genitore adottivo, una nonna, uno zio, una tata. E buona festa del papà al meraviglioso padre di mia figlia, perché è la nostra felicità, il nostro punto di riferimento, il nostro amore grande. Avrò il coraggio di pubblicare questo post a cuore aperto? In fondo su questo fashion blog siamo tra amiche, no?

Hello friends, today in Italy we celebrate Father’s Day. Rarely have I talked about my personal life on this fashion blog, but today it’is different. Because my friends Ale, Ele (Guapy) and Elle can not celebrate this Father’s Day, having lost their father a few days ago. A big warm hug to them. While statements of non-love rage the media, I take advantage of Father’s Day to thank my dad, who shuttled me to events bringing me back home in time to put little princess to bed. My dad, who didn’t know what a fashion blog is and thought that Dolce & Gabbana was a brand of bananas – has always encouraged me to cultivate my passion for fashion. He escorted his “girl” in the study of the great photographer Filippo Mutani, because “you never know”. Happy Father’s Day to him, who was dad and mom to three girls, proving that it’s love, trust and understanding that make parents, be them two dads, two moms, one foster parent, one grandmother, one uncle, a nanny. And Happy Father’s Day to the wonderful father of my daughter, because he is our happiness, our landmark, our great love. Will I be so brave as to hit the publish button? After all this is a friendly fashion blog, isn’t it?

This was beautiful…Father’s Day is just as important as Mother’s Day as many of them are doing both jobs just the same. My father passed away when I was 3, so I didn’t celebrate it until I was married and it is a joy to watch my girls spend time with my husband on this day!! They are daddy’s girl indeed. I’m sorry I don’t get to spend much time with my parents nowadays, but that is just life. That’s why we must make the most out of time that we have with loved ones whenever we have it.
I’m sorry for the loss your friends experienced. Losing loved ones is more than hard but if we keep them in our hearts they are in some ways always with us.
