Have you ever incorporated an organic coffee scrub in your beauty routine? I tried the best: Mr Bean Organic Coffee Scrub, and here’s my review, pros and cons. Hello lovelies, I know many of you out there who love their cuppa, maybe two or three a day. Tell me about it, an Italian coffee lover who first thing in the morning sniffs the glorious aroma of freshly ground coffee beans before putting her mokka on the stove. So when I heard of coffee scrubs and their beneficial properties, I looked out for the best. As it happens, I came across Aussie beauty brand Mr. Bean Body Care, and their natural, organic, fair-trade, skin-loving world. Committed to delivering premium quality skincare at affordable prices, at Mr. Bean can boast a eco-friendly, cruelty-free, health-conscious working environment. I’m not saying all this for advertorial reasons, because you know that I get very passionate about companies with an outstanding ethical code. Now let’s get to the review!
I was kindly sent a complimentary pack of Mr Bean Organic Coffee Scrub with Robusta Coffee Beans, Himalayan pink rock salt, Organic Cold Pressed Coconut Oil, Demerara Sugar, Organic Cacao and Vitamin E oil. All these natural ingredients are extremely beneficial for the beauty of our skin! Caffeine will stimulate blood flow and help reduce the appearance of cellulite, eczema, stretch marks, age spots, varicose veins and psoriasis. Coconut Oil will hydrate and moisturize your skin. Himalayan Salt and Demerara Sugar will exfoliate your skin, removing imperfections. Cocoa and Vitamin E are high in antioxidants and nutrients. Charmed by all these beautifying properties, I opened my Mr Bean Organic Coffee Scrub package to let the amazing aroma give me an endorphines shot 🙂 I carefully read the instructions, applying a handful of product on wet skin, insisting on problem areas. Rubbing my body with this black-ish mixture was a very pleasurable experience. I can’t define exactly what made it so special, but it felt like a savage ritual, somehow exotic and sexy. Until I realised what a mess my shower was. Ok, I’m a control freak, but after enjoying this sensorial experience I was put off by having to scrub hard my shower clean because it looked like a coffee mug had exploded inside it, and the mix of coffee and coconut wouldn’t go away. My bathrobe and my pjs were stained as well, and that was VERY disappointing. I want to give Mr Bean Organic Coffee Scrub another chance: after the scrub I will take another shower using soap, if that makes sense with all the good ingredients making my skin feel like (tanned) silk. I have mixed feelings about Mr Bean Organic Coffee Scrub. The product INCI is great, as well as the sensorial experience, but in the end it turns out so messy!
