Le rose rosse – Red Roses – che adornano i miei occhiali da sole Été Lunettes danno il nome al mio outfit dallo stile bon ton. Sono infatti il pezzo forte di un look minimal con richiami retro chic. In particolare, indosso un semplice abito in jacquard rosa cipria dalla linea ad A. Al quale ho abbinato un’ampia borsa a mano per l’ufficio, e leziosi sandaletti dal tacco medio (kitten-heels). L’accessorio che fa la differenza è un paio di occhiali da sole da collezione, molto ladylike.

Le rose rosse e le foglie che vedete vengono incise e dipinte a mano su una montatura in plexiglass.
Con minuziosa cura i maestri artigiani di Été Lunettes hanno creato dei capolavori in miniatura, trasformando un oggetto di qualità in accessorio di lusso.
Non un lusso ostentato, ma sussurrato.
Ovvero il privilegio di poter godere dell’arte con cui abili mani hanno dato vita ad un pezzo unico e raffinato.
In particolare, gli occhiali da sole che indosso oggi fanno parte della collezione Plexiglass di Été Lunettes.
In questo post invece vi ho mostrato un pezzo unico appartenente alla collezione Plumes, adornata con piume vere. Insomma, due limited edition di gran pregio.

Le rose rosse sono da sempre sinonimo di regale femminilità, raffinatezza ed eleganza. Tre doti inestimabili sulle quali ho iniziato a riflettere.
Se c’è una cosa che ho imparato da quando ho iniziato a scribacchiare su questo fashion blog è il valore del silenzio. O meglio, l’eleganza del non dire. Facendo passi falsi per amor del vero, ho capito che non sempre la verità va sbandierata. Non per omertà, ma per pudore.
Così ho pensato di condividere con voi il mio vademecum sull’eleganza del silenzio.
E ringrazio le amiche vere che – durante inevitabili momenti di delirio – mi aiutano a ricordare che per lo più, tacere nobilita lo spirito.

Le signore non parlano di soldi, perché non è elegante. Come non lo è soppesare la classe di un’altra signora dal tenore di vita che conduce o dal numero di borse griffate che possiede. Le signore non si azzuffano verbalmente a suon di chi la sa più lunga, bensì mantengono un basso profilo. Una vera signora non millanta, perché saranno i fatti a parlare per lei. E non risponde a provocazioni di bassa lega, perché le considera come tali. Una signora non giudica con acrimonia il comportamento altrui in qualsivoglia situazione, perché l’onniscienza non é di questo mondo. Quello che le signore dicono, lo dicono con garbo.

My bon ton style outfit is named after the red roses adorning my Été Lunettes sunglasses. They are in fact the highlight of a minimal look with chic retro vibes. In particular, I’m wearing a simple A-line dress in powder pink jacquard. To which I combined a wide handbag for the office, and delightful kitten-heels. The accessory that makes the difference here is a pair of collection sunglasses, very ladylike.

Red roses have always been synonymous with femininity, sophistication and elegance. Three priceless talents I began to mull over.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned since I started scribbling on this fashion blog is the value of silence. Or rather, the elegance of the unsaid. Making missteps for the sake of truth, I realized that truth shouldn’t always be shout out loud. Not for fear, but for modesty.
So I thought I’d share with you my handbook on the elegance of silence.
And I take the opportunity to thank my real friends that – during inevitable freak-outs – help me to remember that for the most part, silence is dignifying.

Ladies do not talk about money, because it’s not polite. As it is not wise to weigh the value of another lady from her standard of living or number of designer bags she owns. Ladies do not fist fight verbally like they always know better, but maintain a low profile. A real lady does not brag about, because facts will speak for her. She does not respond to petty provocations, because she reckons them as such. Ladies do not look down to other people’s behaviour in any given situation, because omniscience is not of this world. What ladies say, they say it politely.

Ah the rose detail adds such a fabulous touch to those frames! So true that some things are better left unsaid and yes there is definitely an elegance and art to that.
Allora mi sa che dovrei imparare da te perché io e l’arte del silenzio siamo proprio due cose lontane. Se devo dire la mia soprattutto quando verità non sento ragioni, me ne frego e vado dritta come un treno.
