Weekend plans

Weekend plans

Hello dears!

My weekend started with a girlfriends night out. It wasn’t just the usual pizza and chit chat, home by 11 pm, but our twice in a year party-night.
I wasn’t sure what to wear, so I decided for a classic black dress, combined with pale-pink accessories.
To give a glitz to my look, I choose emerald green metallic finish nail polish and smoky eyes with a hint of green shadow.

Today I had a fruit-based lunch to wash off the devastating effects that a couple of drinks had on my teetotal nerves, while I served my sweethearts fusilli dressed with pesto of fresh tomatoes, basil grown on my balcony, and extra-virgin olive oil.
It was a very nice summer meal with my family.

Later today I’m giving my 80yrs old nanny some home beauty treatments, because she wants to have impeccable hair and nails for her Sunday Mass. She is the best.

I’ll probably have some friends over for dinner (they always give me last minute confirmation), in which case I must figure out something quick and tasty to serve. Maybe a barley salad with crunchy vegetables and stuffed eggplants?

Let’s hope for a sunny day tomorrow (today it’s cloudy and irritatingly hot), as I’d like to soak in my daughter’s bathtube-sized pool taking in as much as possible of her little rosy happy chubbiness, while my husband stays tuned on the Olympic games.

What are YOU doing this weekend?

Wherever you are and whatever you are up to, don’t forget to breathe deeply and to reward your wonderful Self with some relaxing quality time.

Stay in touch!
