Innanzitutto, chi sono le millenials?
Vi siete imbattute più volte nel termine millenials su riviste e sul web. E vi siete chieste a cosa si riferisse. Ebbene, millenial è la generazione del nuovo millennio. In particolare le millenials sono nate tra gli anni ’80 e il 2000. Quindi le millenials siamo noi ragazze tra i 20 e i 40, sempre connesse e al passo con le ultime tendenze moda.
Che colore è il millenial pink?
Il millenial pink è la tonalità di rosa più popolare tra le millenials. E la sua popolarità va ben oltre il mero senso estetico. Infatti, è una tonalità di rosa cipriato – per intenderci quella dei pantaloni che mi vedete indossare nelle foto. Questo colore è cosí popolare tra le millenials perché rappresenta una donna che esprime tanto la propria femminilità quanto la propria emancipazione culturale. Infatti il millenial pink non è il rosa zuccherino stile Barbie, bensì un colore genderless, indossato anche dagli uomini.

Quando Pantone nel 2016 scelse Rose Quartz e Serenity Blue come i due colori dell’anno, rappresentò proprio questa tendenza verso una moda genderless. E la palette di rosa scelta sempre da Pantone per la moda e l’interior design 2017 contiene la tonalità Pale Dogwood, che si avvicina molto al millenial pink. Così come il Rose Gold dell’iPhone 6S. E il drink più amato dalle millenials, il frosè. Il millenial pink è talmente popolare da essere chiamato anche Tumblr Pink, e mi meraviglio che non sia ancora stato definito Instagram Pink, dato l’innumerevole numero di flat-lays rose gold postati nell’ultimo anno. Insomma, il millenial pink è un nuovo neutro, che si presta ad abbinamenti con molteplici colori, tra cui il nero, il bianco, il beige, l’oro, e gli altri neutri.
I miei pantaloni color millenial pink
Potete immaginare quanto la popolarità del rosa nella moda e nell’interior design mi renda una shopaholic ancora più convinta! Oggi per esempio indosso un paio di jogger pants color millenial pink. Le due strisce laterali bianche ricordano gli iconici pantaloni della Adidas che sono tornati in voga nei look athleisure, ovvero sporty-chic. Per questo li ho indossati con i tacchi. Un paio di sandali scamosciati con pom-pom color rosa cipria. E un bomber nero decorato con ruches. La mia statement-clutch anticipa in versione estiva le fantasie elaborate che popoleranno le collezioni moda Autunno Inverno.

You have more than once come across the term millenials on magazines and on the web. And you wondered what it meant exactly. Well, millenial is the new millenium generation. In particular millenials were born between the Eighties and 2000. Meaning millenials are girls in their Twenties to late Thirties, always online and up to date with the latest fashion trends.

Millenial pink is the the most popular color among millenials. And its popularity goes far beyond aesthetics. First of all it’s a sort of blush pink, with a touch of gold. It’s the exact shade of the jogger pants I’m wearing in the pictures. There’s a reason why it is so ubiquitous among millenials. Being far from the saccharine Barbie-pink, it embodies a woman both pretty and retaining her intellectual detachment. Plus, it can be donned by men to, because it’s a genderless colour.
Millenial-pink is a new neutral shade
When in 2016 Pantone picked Rose Quartz and Serenity Blue as colours of the year, he aknowledged this very trend towards genderless fashion. Not to mention the palette of pinks set by Pantone to rule 2017 fashion and interior design features Pale Dogwood, a very similar hue to millenial pink. As well as the Rose Gold of iPhone 6S. And frosè, the most popular drink among millenials. Millenial-pink is so ubiquitos as to be known also as Tumblr Pink. Actually I’m surprised it hasn’t been dubbed as Instagram Pink, given the huge amount of rose gold flat lays posted lately. In conclusion, millenial-pink is a new neutral, suitable to be styled with multiple shades such as black, white, beige, gold, and other neutrals.

You can imagine how the popularity of pink in fashion and interior design made me even more addicted to shopping! Today for example I’m wearing millenial-pink jogger pants. Their white side stripes remind the iconic pants by Adidas which have come back in vogue along with athleisure style, that is sporty-chic outfits. That’s why I styled them with heels, blush pink suede sandals with pom-poms. And a bomber jacket embellished with ruches. My statement-clutch features a summer version of the baroque prints we’ll be seeing this Fall Winter.
