while watching an interview featuring Alice+Olivia designer Stacey Bendet, I felt quite uncomfortable and I thought it might be fun to post quotes from fashion gurus I disagree with, inviting you to share your views on the subject.

I don't wear flat shoes but only because I find them uncomfortable. Otherwise, I think they look very elegant and chic. My mother always wore flat shoes and she always looked very fashionable and stylish!

Oh geez. Those quotes. Some people look absolutely dashing in flats. If you can look fabulous in flats rather than stumble around in heels, then you should be able to do so. People should be able to wear the shoes they feel comfortable and stylish in without being judged. It's odd to hear such a statement. Alright, sweatpants – maybe, but why flats? Nothing wrong with flats – I'd rather not see UGGs and CROCs all over the place or trainers worn as street wear. Flats can be very chic, I think, when one knows how to wear them. ;)<br />x

I like flat shoes, I cannot wear heels, so flats are what I am able to wear. I don't always find the cutest flat shoes or the best priced ones, but for people that need to wear flat shoes, this quote is complete garbage.
