Styling a pleated velvet skirt for a glam winter outfit. If a couple of years ago you had asked me what to wear over this midi pleated skirt I would have most likely replied: something skinny. Following the rule “loose bottom, tight top” and the other way round. But personal style evolves, and there are no more rules in fashion. I’m not saying a slim-fit turtleneck wouldn’t have complimented my pleated velevet skirt, elongating the silhouette.
However I am more and more fond of layering, for an effortless yet super glam style. So I’m wearing an oversize high-neck sweater with metallic threads over my emerald green pleated velvet skirt. To top it off, I picked a metallic gray handbag by YNot and casual suede boots. And a woolen turban, warm and trendy headpiece.
A trendy outfit for next Fall Winter
Speaking of fashion trends, if you haven’t been watching the latest fashion shows worldwide, I’ll be happy to give you a heads up 🙂 Well, rest assured that the trendy staples I incorporated in my outfit of the day will be popular next Winter as well. Specifically:
- velvet and velour, luscious and elegant as seen at Saint Laurent, Alexandre Vauthier, Balenciaga, Erdem;
- shiny fabrics like lurex, latex, olographic threads, paillettes, and metallic organza as seen at Balmain, Alberta Ferretti, Sonia Rykiel, Temperley London;
- headpieces of any kind, like headbands, turbans, hats, kefiah and chador, as seen atGucci, Dolce e Gabbana, Dior, Marc Jacobs;
- oversize sweater over midi skirt as seen at Givenchy, Antonio Marras, Burberry, Oscar De La Renta.
Gonna di velluto a pieghe e maglione oversize (Fashion Blogger Style)
Come abbinare una gonna di velluto a pieghe per un look invernale glam. Se un paio di anni fa mi aveste chiesto cosa indossare sopra a questa gonna midi plissé, vi avrei risposto sicuramente: qualcosa di aderente. Seguendo la regola “ampio sotto, stretto sopra” e viceversa. Per fortuna i gusti cambiano, lo stile personale evolve, e nella moda non ci sono più regole. Sicuramente un dolcevita aderente abbinato a questa gonna di velluto a pieghe avrebbe valorizzato la silhouette e slanciato la figura.
Ma sempre di più preferisco indossare capi ampi uno sopra l’altro, per uno stile effortless molto glam. Così ho scelto di abbinare un maglione oversize con bagliori metallici argento alla mia gonna in velluto a pieghe, di colore verde smeraldo. Per completare il look una borsa dal finish metallico di YNot e un paio di stivaletti scamosciati. E un turbante in lana, copricapo di tendenza, piacevole da portare in queste fredde giornate.
Un outfit trendy anche per il prossimo Autunno Inverno
A proposito di tendenze moda, se non state seguendo le sfilate delle fashion week internazionali, ci penso io ad aggiornarvi 🙂 Ebbene, i must-have di questa stagione che ho inserito nel mio outfit di oggi torneranno anche il prossimo Autunno Inverno. Mi riferisco a:
- velluto e ciniglia, voluttuosi ed eleganti (Saint Laurent, Alexandre Vauthier, Balenciaga, Erdem)
- bagliori metallici sotto forma di lurex, latex, tessuti olografici, paillettes, organza metallizzata (Balmain, Alberta Ferretti, Sonia Rykiel, Temperley London)
- copricapo di ogni genere, tra cui fasce, turbanti, cappelli, kefiah e chador (Gucci, Dolce e Gabbana, Dior, Marc Jacobs)
- maglione oversize sopra gonna midi (Givenchy, Antonio Marras, Burberry, Oscar De La Renta)
